This was a fairly pleasant read. It took me a little while to get invested in the characters, though. I liked them all right off the bat - Leo, Clara, Maggie and even Dean. They all had a certain familiarity with each other that was charming but as a reader, I was still figuring out the dynamics between everyone because there are small surprises here and there. Leo, Clara and Maggie are 3 twenty-one year olds who have known each other and grown up around one another since birth - Clara and Maggie are identical twins. It was good to have both girls' POVs to see the contrast between them because they are nothing alike outside of basic appearance. Leo is Maggie's best friend and sort of like Clara's worst enemy but there's always a fine line between love and hate. What's interesting is that Maggie and Leo have a secret language, not Maggie and Clara, so there's several instances where it's pretty clear that Maggie and Clara aren't even sisterly despite sharing DNA. What makes the story interesting is watching them all sort out who they have deep feelings for and how they go about dealing with those feelings because everyone deals with those feelings in a backwards manner. Clara is kind of prickly and standoffish except when she's around her friends. She works really hard to come off very detached and indifferent but has no problems standing up for herself or speaking her mind. Maggie is very sweet and gentle and seems rather innocent even though she's very preoccupied with her image, but her heart is very genuine. Leo is arrogant and confident but he has a vulnerable side to him that is easily crushed by one of the twins in particular. The dynamic of his friendship with Maggie is really solid. Watching Clara open her eyes to reality is rather amusing because she's not a clueless person, but she is when it comes to a certain guy. The dialogue is funny at times and despite several mishaps, they all figure it out with one another.

By the time I finished the prologue of this book, I was HOOKED!!!
This is the story of identical twin sisters Maggie and Clara Ryder. With their dad, Reed Ryder being owner of a privileged golf establishment, The Reed Ryder Country Club, both girls have brains, beauty, money and status. Where most twins are as close as can be and stick together like glue, these two are anything but. They can't stand each other.
Maggie is seen as the good twin. Clara is seen as the bad one. Maggie wants to follow her dads dreams when it comes to the Country Club and Clara can't wait to get away and move to Arizona to be on her own.
Leo Maddox.....HOLLLLLYYY SWOOONN!! Leo is heir to a billion dollar hotel empire known as Maddox Hotels. Leo and Maggie have always been best friends whereas Leo and Clara have never been able to stand each other....or so they both think.
When the book starts Clara is "dating" Maggie's ex Andrew (or so she thinks) and Maggie is not happy. Not wanting to show up to a club party alone she decided to bring a hot date and with the help of her friend she goes in search for "Dean" at several bars. Once back at the party all hell breaks lose and Maggie soon finds out Dean is more than just her hot date.
An accident (or was it??) happens that brings Leo and Clara together causing Clara to question her feelings for Leo. How will Maggie handle this? She has always had Leo to herself and now she even questions her true feeling for him.
"Who knew that buried under all that designer suits and Oxford shirts was one gorgeous body." Clara speaking of Leo.
As complicated as this story got at times, I LOVED it!!! I was laughing my butt off at some of the things Maggie and Clara did. When it was all said and done everyone got their HEA but you will have to one click this to find out who ended with who. Will Clara and Maggie ever put their hate aside and become the sisters they were meant to be?
One other thing I loved about this book is that it was located right here in Blue Creek Va. It even mentioned Blacksburg Va and Roanoke Va and the fact that I live an hour away from both made me feel as though I could see everything as they saw it!! I can't wait to read more books from this author!!
