For those of you old enough that Reader's Digest is a familiar name... excerpts from Patrick McManus' books often appeared in that tome - and what a treat it was! The stories are so zany; I'm sure they're embellished a bit (no one has a life that's THAT funny all the way through!) but you just know that there's a large grain of truth in there, too! His books are HILARIOUS!!! So glad they're available in ebook form, now. I can always have something great to read on my phone when I find myself in a 'waiting' situation and I don't want to/can't surf the net. HIGHLY recommended!

My husband loves these books, and has almost the entire collection from this author. Very good books to read 😊! Recommend to all!
Even if you're not the "outdoors" type, the stories are still funny. And they're not just about the outdoors, either.
Patrick is a gem! I have been reading him for decades and it never gets old. Outdoorsmen get it as these words apply as much today as they did when originally printed. Timeless humor delivered with words that cannot help you but to visualize and then spend five minutes laughing your head off.
Hilarious! You will laugh until you cry! My dad was looking for these books for years and various brick-n-mortar establishments. Upon talking with him about it I said we can probably get them on . Lo and behold, all titles were available at excellent prices! Good country humor!
I've loved Pat's book from the day they were published and own most, if not all of them in paperback. I was pleased to find them offered in the store as it makes it so easy to carry several hundred volumes in one hand. If you like outdoor humor and being entertained by an eclectic lineup of lovable characters struggling with the trials of growing up outdoors this book is for you. I've re-read these numerous times and laugh just as hardily the 5th time as the first.
It's Pat McManus, if you don't laugh as you read it, something is wrong with you, but it is not as frequently guffaw funny as most of his other books. I believe I have every book he's had published and Pat is getting older, and maybe that is why his stories are exhibiting less frequent hilarity than former works. I still love his work and have introduced several people to them.
